Have you heard of the abbreviation SVOC?

SVOC stands for semi-volatile organic compounds. These have a boiling point of around 250-400 °C. SVOCs include per- and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds (PFAS), phthalates and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH).

PAHs are formed during incomplete combustion of fossil fuels and other organic materials. Many PAHs have been found to be carcinogenic.

The use of many harmful compounds is restricted in the EU. For example, the use of phthalates and PFAS has decreased as a result of these restrictions. New restrictions are planned, partly on a proactive basis, even though the risks are not yet fully known.

Aeroff is developing new technologies to reduce harmful emissions in various industrial processes, including combustion processes. Contact us and ask our experts for more information!
