What is an aerosol?

Aerosol is a term for the combination of a gas and very small particles suspended in it. The particles can be either solid or liquid.

In metalworking processes which involve water-based cutting fluids, aerosols are formed under the action of heat and pressure. The aerosols that are formed when the machining fluid evaporates contain various air pollutants such as dissolved metals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

These metal machining aerosols cause various health problems, reduce the quality of the breathing air in the production area and contribute to harmful emissions into the environment.

The AerOff Solution for metal machining removes harmful aerosols from the air in industrial environments. This significantly improves the air quality in the working environment and increases the health and satisfaction of workers.
