What does metalworking exhaust air contain?

Metalworking generates a variety of air pollutants that have harmful effects on workers’ health. When cutting fluids are sprayed under high pressure onto the hot surface of tool and workpiece, some of the fluid evaporates. High temperatures and mechanical forces result in the formation of aerosols which contain not only water, but also additives from the cutting fluid. These additives are used, for example, for lubrication and corrosion prevention.

The exhaust air from metalworking machines therefore contains various harmful gaseous substances. Conventional filter systems are not able to remove these gaseous pollutants effectively, causing problems for health and environment.

The AerOff Solution removes both particles and gaseous compounds from the exhaust air, creating a safer working environment and enabling responsible emissions management. Ask us for more information: info@aeroff.fi
